Just a sample of more to come. Today was a relaxing day. First time I tried out the wheel. (Oh, she needs a name.) The picture is not too good, neither is the spinning, but it will come with more practice. I just love it to pieces!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas

It's almost Christmas! Today we celebrate the fourth Sunday in Advent. All the shopping is complete. Now I can sit back and relax and do a little knitting in front of the fire. All long awaited day. I swear every year it's going to be different but I guess I would have to start my shopping on Jan 1 of each year.
I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Joy and Peace for the coming year.

Annie and Chipper wishes you a Merry Christmas too!

"It's a Major Award"

Or at least it's my "Major Award" quoted from Ralphie's Old Man, Mr. Parker from "Christmas Story". I love to win things. I got this Trekking Sock Yarn as a prize for the best picture in a public place during the Dish Rag Tag swap.

Here's my picture. Thanks for all the votes from everyone.

Christmas Sock Yarn

My Christmas sock yarn came this week from Sophie's Toes. It's so pretty!! The one on the left is called Christmas Tree and the right is Christmas Lights. I know I won't be able to finish socks by Christmas, but there is always next year. Just knowing I have this in my stash gives me that warm fuzzy feeling.

The Chicks with Sticks

Just some of the cookies that were brought. Yum!

The Chicks with Sticks gang at our Cookie Swap/Christmas lunch. From far left: Jessie, Cindy, Darlene, Bibby, Kay, Marie, Ginger & Jan (front). We had a wonderful time eating, & laughing. No one got any knitting done because we were stuffing our face. Love these girls!!!!

Merry Christmas from the Weiner Dog

I'm ready for Santa to come. Chipper all adorned in his Christmas bow tie wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas.

Christmas Possum

Yes indeed, we have a opossum. As I opened the door to let the dog out to do his business this morning on his "TT" pad in the garage because it was too cold for a walk, I noticed things were knocked over on the floor. I went into the garage and found that golf balls were scattered all around. I turned around and there sat the biggest possum in a chair that I have ever seen in my life. I let out a scream and ran in the house. I told my husband to come look at this. My husband had just said a few days ago he thought we had a opossum because the cat food bag had a hole in it. He tried to run him off but he just creeped further into the back of the garage. I was trying to take his picture but couldn't get a good one. After my husband left, I shut the garage door and tried to get him to come to the front of the garage with some cat food.
My son-n-law stopped by today around lunch time because he was working a claim case in our neighborhood. I ask him are we covered by State Farm for possum damage? I told him there is one in our garage. He immediately started walking to the back door and I said, don't run him off until I get a picture. After all the snarling and hissing, I finally got the picture and Mike said, "Do you think your Alfa agent would have done this for you? He's gone now but I think he will probably be back tonight. Needless to say, all the cat food is in the house. No more goodies for him.

He or she has got some pretty fur, but I draw the line on spinning opossum fur.
